We collect information needed to operate Krewvia as a group road-trip coordination service. The categories below reflect the current product.
Account information
- Name or display name
- Email address
- Profile photo where you choose to provide one
- Authentication identifiers required to operate an account
Trip and journey information
- Trips you create or join
- Origin and destination
- Trip status
- Traveller or member participation
- Host and member roles
- Journey history
- Trip-related timestamps and metadata
Location information
Krewvia is a live group road-trip coordination product. When you participate in a Live Trip, Krewvia may process location information such as:
- Your current location while you are participating in a Live Trip
- Route-relative or location information needed to show travellers on the shared trip
- Location updates required for Live Trip functionality
Krewvia does not claim to continuously track users outside the location-sharing behaviour needed for active product functionality. Location is used to provide Live Trip and group coordination features.
Device and technical information
- Device identifiers needed for app functionality
- Platform and app version information
- Firebase or notification device registration where applicable
- Diagnostic or operational information needed for reliability and security
Push notifications
Krewvia may store push-notification device tokens and preferences to deliver supported trip notifications. Current MVP notification categories include:
- Traveller joined
- Traveller left
- Trip started
- Host changed
- Trip completed
2. How We Use Information
We use information for purposes such as:
- Creating and managing accounts
- Creating and joining trips
- Providing Live Trip functionality
- Showing members participating in a trip
- Coordinating travellers during a journey
- Delivering relevant trip notifications
- Maintaining security and reliability
- Providing support
- Complying with applicable legal obligations
Krewvia does not use personal information for ad targeting and does not sell personal information.
3. How Information Is Shared
Information may be shared in limited circumstances, including:
- With other participants in a trip where necessary for trip functionality
- With infrastructure or service providers required to operate Krewvia
- Where required by law or legitimate legal process
Krewvia does not sell personal information.
Krewvia currently uses Firebase and Google infrastructure for services such as authentication, databases, cloud functions, and messaging. These providers process information on our behalf as part of operating the service.
4. Live Trip and Group Visibility
When you participate in an active Live Trip, relevant trip participants may be able to see information such as:
- Your display name or profile representation
- Your participation status
- Live or recent location needed for trip coordination
- Relative position along the trip where supported
This visibility is a core feature of joining an active group journey.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account or trip history where applicable, support security and reliability, and meet legal obligations.
Some information may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
6. Account and Data Deletion
Krewvia provides an in-app Delete Account capability.

Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated personal data, unless specific information must be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons.
7. Data Security
Krewvia uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including secure authenticated access, access controls, and protected infrastructure.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. User Choices and Permissions
You can manage certain choices through the app and your device, including:
- Location permissions
- Notification permissions and trip notification preferences
- Profile information
- Account deletion
Device permission settings can also be changed through iOS or Android system settings.
9. Children
Krewvia is not intended for use by children independently where parental or guardian consent is required by applicable law.

10. International Processing
Service providers and infrastructure used by Krewvia may process information in locations different from your place of residence. Where required, appropriate protections are used in connection with that processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
